Prior to launching Richmond Search, she was an Executive Director at an international legal recruitment agency. Over her 20 year career in legal recruitment, Shobana has placed over a thousand lawyers at all levels securing them roles all over Australia. Shobana also has significant international experience and has placed lawyers in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

Shobana holds degrees in Arts and Laws from the University of Melbourne and is also a qualified lawyer having trained in Australia at a leading global law firm. The combination of her legal background and so many years in the legal recruitment industry means she gets lawyers. She understands how lawyers think, what they value, what motivates them and how they approach their job search.
